Baker St. Pub: A good place for a boys' night out

Mondays are the most brutal day of the week, but my buddies and I have found a remedy: we meet up every week at a different spot for a guys' night out to watch Monday Night Football. For the Eagles-Redskins game, we decided to stay close to home and hit Baker St. Pub in west Fort Worth. Located in the center of the Village at Camp Bowie shopping center, parking was relatively easy. It surprised me that the place was still pretty crowded. We walked through the first room with the pool tables and past the bar where we found a table for six with a great view of the big screen TV. It is pretty dark inside with lots of dark wood features and books -- like you are in an old library that just happens to be full of flat screens.

There was a fair share of hot girls, each with a cigarette in hand. It was so hazy, it reminded me of the way bars used to be.

Happy hour featured $2 select drafts, $2 wells, $3 super calls, and $8 premium domestic pitchers and it lasted until 9 p.m. We all munched on appetizers and watched the Eagles destroy the pathetic Redskins. In spite of the dismal game, we enjoyed ourselves and will make it a regular stop on our Monday Night tour.
