The Rattlesnake Bar is the perfect place to find a sugar daddy or a cougar on the prowl.

Best Cougar / Manther Bar

Even the elbow rests at the Rattlesnake Bar at the Ritz-Carlton Dallas have a certain sssssexy appeal.

Find it: The Rattlesnake Bar at The Ritz-Carlton, 2121 McKinney Ave., Dallas; 214-922-4848

The back story: If you're a twentysomething looking for your sugar daddy — or, for that matter, if you're entering into middle-age and unabashedly still on the make — then look no further than this handsomely designed, moodily lit hotspot inside the Ritz-Carlton in Dallas. The place has its drawbacks — the noise level is high, and the bar and couches tend to fill up quickly, so be prepared to sip while standing and talk very loudly. But the crowd is always impeccably dressed, surgicially enhanced and unabashedly ostentatious — it's the Big D. in a nutshell.

If you find the nearly-dead billionaire of your dreams ... ... persuade him or her to take you to Fearing's, the ultra-fancy restaurant just next door, operated by legendary Dallas chef Dean Fearing. The tab runs up quickly — you can drop $100 for two on appetizers alone — but since you won't be paying, you've got nothing to worry about.

"The crowd is always impeccably dressed, surgicially enhanced and unabashedly ostentatious — it's the Big D. in a nutshell."

Best time to go: The crowds are at their most boisterous — and spendthrift — on Friday and Saturday nights.

Honorable mentions: Michael's Ancho, Fort Worth; X and O Tavern, Southlake
