Thursday’s Agenda: Christmas on Main in downtown Grapevine, 3 Redneck Tenors at Grand Prairie’s Uptown Theater

Holiday spirit in Grapevine

Get in the Christmas spirit in Historic Downtown Grapevine. Christmas on Main, which starts this weekend and runs the first three weekends in December, features all kinds of family-friendly fun, including Santa, carriage rides, reindeer games for kiddos and appearances by Frosty the Snowman and other characters. The city’s North Pole Express also starts this weekend, a $16 train ride with Santa, stories and carols. Main Street, Grapevine. For general info, parking info and train tickets: www.grapevinetexasusa.com.

Happy mullet days

They’ve been on America’s Got Talent and played Carnegie Hall, and they’re from Paris. Texas, that is. And this weekend, the 3 Redneck Tenors are going to bring their mix of high and low culture to Grand Prairie’s Uptown Theater, where the Tenors will present their Christmas SPEC-TAC-YULE-AR. The program features such classics as Silent Night and Grandma Got Run Over by a Reindeer, and possibly even an a capella version of The Nutcracker Suite (go to www.3rednecktenors.com/Christmas.htm to find out what that’s all about). $21-$26. 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday, 2 p.m. Sunday at the Uptown, 120 E. Main St. in Grand Prairie. 972-237-8786; www.uptowntheatergp.com
