Sunday’s agenda: See 'An Education’ at the Modern and catch a harmonica master
A good 'Education’
Today is the last day to catch An Education, the well-reviewed British film about a teenage girl in the ’60s who falls for a man twice her age, at the Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth. Based on a memoir by Lynn Barber and with a screenplay by Nick Hornby (About a Boy, High Fidelity), An Education stars Peter Sarsgaard, Carey Mulligan and Alfred Molina and screens at 2 and 4 p.m. $8.50 general admission, $6.50 for museum members. The Modern is at 3200 Darnell St., Fort Worth. 817-738-9215; www.themodern.org.
An American master
At age 65, Mississippi-born bluesman Charlie Musselwhite keeps on truckin’, having released Delta Hardware to considerable critical acclaim in 2006. A master of the mouth harp, Musselwhite is often cited as one of the most influential harmonica players in the world. Why not see for yourself as Musselwhite blows into Dallas’ Granada Theater at 8 tonight with Lil’ Dave Thompson. $14-$30. 214-824-9933; tickets. granadatheater.com
