Thursday’s Agenda: Meet 'Stuart Little’ in Arlington or spend Friday at the Modern

Stuart Little

'Stuart Little’s’ big debut

Stuart Little is the very definition of a "classic" bit of theater, at least when it involves an endearing rodent. Littlecharts the sure-footed adventures, and misguided pratfalls, of a mouse that becomes part of a New York City family. How Stuart makes his way in the land of "real people" is the source of all the production’s charm. Theatre Arlington’s Stuart Little opens tomorrow at 7:30 p.m. and runs till Nov. 15. Tickets: $10. Theatre Arlington is at 305 W. Main St. in Arlington. More info: 817-275-7661; www.theatrearlington.org.

First Friday at the Modern

Friday will be the first Friday of the month, and that means it’s time for another of the First Fridays events at the Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth. From 5 to 8 p.m. in the lobby of the museum, sip a seasonal Turkey Lurkey cocktail, listen to the jazz stylings of well-known Fort Worth musician John Giordano and take a tour of the galleries. The docent-led tour, which takes place at 6:30 p.m., is free for Modern members and Star-Telegram Press Pass holders. Before you go, you can make reservations for dinner in the Cafe Modern; call 817-840-2174. The museum’s at 3200 Darnell St., Fort Worth; www.themodern.org.
