Looking for a good food-and-drink spots to haunt this Halloween? Michaels Cuisine is conjuring up a bewitching dinner, starting at 5:30 p.m. and lasting until 1:30 a.m. On the menu, find roasted fall squash soup, pumpkin-chipotle gnocchi, pumpkin seed-crusted Alaskan halibut over pumpkin risotto and cajeta pumpkin pie crème brulee. Halloween cocktails, jello shots and half-price pizzas promise a howling good time. Looking for some credit? The three best Halloween costumes could win “Michael$ Money.” Check out Michaels Restaurant and Ancho Chile Bar on Facebook, too.

A few minutes west, Buttons hosts its first costume party at 9 p.m. Saturday, with prizes going for best and worst get-ups. There’s also a look-a-like contest for anyone who comes as chef Keith Hicks, and the party band, Second Nature, will be playing for the crowd. Scary drink specials are promised, and chef Hicks will put on a free midnight breakfast buffet. There’s a $5 cover charge for the party.
